‘Tis the season for……sweet treats! Over the next few months our children will probably be eating lot of candy and sweet treats because of the upcoming holidays. Now is the time to think about good oral hygiene. We recommend brushing children’s teeth twice a day, especially before bedtime. As soon as your child has teeth, you need to start wiping them off with a wet washcloth – this may be as early as 4-6 months old! Remember to avoid milk or juice after wiping/brushing teeth at night. Your child should visit a dentist for the first time between 1-3 years of age and then every 6 months for regular cleanings. So enjoy all those goodies but don’t let them damage your child’s teeth.
